The Deerfield Park District is governed by an elected board of park commissioners who serve four-year terms of office without pay. Board members set policy for the district which is administered by a director of parks and recreation and staff of recreation professionals. The board receives community input through its citizen advisory committees, composed of appointed community volunteers, and from the general public.

The park board meets the third Thursday of each month. Schedule changes will be posted at the Jewett Park Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive. Call 945-0650 for additional information. Board Workshop meetings are held the first Thursday of the month, as needed.

The Deerfield Park District currently has Advisory Committees for the following interest areas: Golf, Pool, Recreation Center, and Adults 50+.

As needs arise, new committees are formed and volunteer membership is solicited from the public. Currently we have vacancies on our Pool Advisory Committees.
