Playground equipment at Cumnor Court was replaced. To acknowledge a generous donation, the play area was dedicated in memory of Sarah Channick.

Jewett Park Community Center

The Jewett Park Community Center is the main building of the Deerfield Park District, located at 836 Jewett Park Drive. The telephone number is 847-945-0650 and the fax number is 847-945-0699. The community center houses the administrative offices, registration, the Deerfield Park District Preschool, Tree House Indoor Playground, and much of our recreation programming, including art and ceramics classes, cooking, preschool programs, some of our exercise classes, tap and ballet classes offered by the Deerfield Dance Studio, and some of our adult activities. Many of the rooms at the community center are available for rental. The office is closed in observance of major holidays.

Sachs Recreation Center -Activity in motion!

The Sachs Recreation Center opened May 1, 2009 and is the Deerfield Park District's newest facility. The Center, with nearly 100,000-square-foot of space, is located at 455 Lake Cook Road (near Waukegan Road). The telephone number is 847-572-2600 and the website is www.SachsRecCenter.org.  Formerly the Multiplex, this new Park District facility provides many new opportunities for fun, fitness, and recreation, including a fitness center, three gymnasiums, tennis and racquetball courts, an indoor pool, middle school game room and more -all at a great Park District value. Onsite childcare and a before- and after-kindergarten (with transportation available for Deerfield District 109 students) are new offerings. An array of health, fitness, exercise and recreation classes are being planned for year-round enjoyment. The Sachs Recreation Center includes a four-lane, 20-yard indoor lap pool with a whirlpool and sauna, a four-lane jogging/walking track, two free-weight rooms, exercise and dance studios and additional programming space for fitness and recreation classes. A cafe offers healthy options for snacks or lunch. Facility and space rentals are available for parties and events; and plenty of parking is available by agreement with the Lake Cook Plaza shopping center (soon to be called Deerfield Park Plaza).


Deerfield Golf Club

The Deerfield Golf Club & Learning Center has numerous rental options for parties, banquets, meetings, and receptions. For information, please visit the Deerfield Golf Club website or call 847-945-8333.


Patty Turner Center

The Patty Turner Center is located at 375 Elm Street. The telephone number is 847-940-4010. Virginia (Ginny) Hunt is the Recreation Supervisor. She is assisted by Joan Simonds. The center serves a very active group of adults aged 50 and up and offers numerous activities and special events throughout the year.

Members enjoy computer and technology classes, men's and women's golf leagues, an investment club, art and exercise classes, bowling and bocce leagues, social and contract bridge, driving courses, trips and many other activities.

Swimming Pools (2 outdoor; 1 indoor)

A full season of summer outdoor swim classes, lap swim, parent-tot swim and open swim
opportunities are offered at our two outdoor swimming pools (Mitchell Pool and Deerspring Pool). Year-round indoor opportunities are available at Sachs Recretion Center.

Mitchell (outdoor) Pool, 951 Wilmot Rd. (at Hazel) 847-945-7760
“Z” shaped pool ranging in depth from 2-1/2 to 5 feet deep. The diving bay is 12 feet deep. Youngsters will also enjoy our zero depth wading pool. Engraved brick pavers are may be purchased for the pool entrance.

Deerspring (outdoor) Pool, 200 Deerfield Rd. 847-945-7610
“L”-shaped, Olympic-size pool that ranges from 3 to 5 feet at its deeper end. The diving bay is 11.6 feet deep, with a 1-meter diving board and a new drop slide. Deerspring features include a water slide in the shallow end and a zero-depth wading pool.
Our Sprayground at Deerspring Pool is open before, during and after the regular pool season, depending upon the weather conditions. The Sprayground offers slides, geysers, water cannons and more!

Sachs Recreation Center's (indoor) Pool, 455 Lake Cook Road (Deerfield Park Plaza) 847-572-2600
Four-lane, 20-yard pool offering swimmers Lap Swim, Open Swim and Family Swim as well as Group and Private swim lessons that follow the American Red Cross Instructional program. Open Swim / Family Swim: Everyone is invited “Into the Pool!” on Saturdays and Sundays, 1:00-3:00 p.m., year-round. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Lifeguards are on duty. Additional hours may be added during holidays. Call 847-572-2600 for more information. Fees: SRC Members: Free; Children of Members: $3 each; Non-Member Individual: $3 ea.; Non-Member Family: $6.
