Level II Swim Lesson

Students learn to respect and enjoy the water and learn basic swim skills.  On the first day children will be grouped by their ability level and work progressively through swimming skills.  Best for children who can fully submerge their head and retrieve underwater objects and demonstrate unsupported front and back floating, but who can not demonstrate rhythmic breathing. Some of the skills students will work on include but not limited to:

Fully submerge head for 3 seconds
Front float for 5 seconds
Back float for 5 seconds
Bob 10 times
Step from side into chest deep and recover
Front flutter kick
Back flutter kick
Finning on back

Front crawl arm action

Retrieve object in chest deep water
Explore deep water
Back crawl arm action
Combined front crawl
Combined back crawl
Turning over front and back
Reaching/extension assist
