Outdoor Ice Skating The Deerfield Park District will make ice for outdoor ice skating as soon weather conditions permit. We will again maintain neighborhood rinks with timed lighting for your skating enjoyment. Neighborhood rinks are located at Briarwood and Pine Street parks. The lights at the neighborhood rinks will be set to operate between 5:00 - 9:30 p.m. every night. This year we will once again provide lighted family ice rinks at Jewett Park and Jaycee Park. A hockey rink at Jewett Park and unlighted rinks are available at Pine Street and Briarwood Parks. Listed below is our warming house schedule for regular hours. You may want to keep this schedule for your information throughout the winter months. Because the weather is inconsistent during the winter months, the Deerfield Park District will not be offering ice skating lessons. If you are interested in skating lessons, the Park District of Highland Park provides a wide range of classes for beginning through more advanced skaters at the Centennial Ice Rink, 3100 Trail Way in Highland Park. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced figure skater, call 847-432-3180 for information. They also have facilities for private parties and rentals.
