Description

Children’s Beginning Ballet 1

This class is for children in first grade through fourth grade who are beginning ballet.  The children will be taught the five positions of feet and arms and learn basic barre work.  Attention is focused on proper form and execution right from the start! Children bring a notebook each week and learn the French words of the steps they are studying.  This is a great way for children to gain confidence, develop grace and poise.

Children’s Beginning Ballet 2

This class is for children in second grade and older who have completed one year of ballet.  Second year students spend more time performing barre exercises, and will be introduced to many new dance steps like echappe, pas de chat and arabesque. By the second year, dancers learn more quickly and have a firm foundation of the ballet basics.  Friendships formed in ballet class make this a fun and treasured experience.
