Athletics - Martial Arts Karate - Activity #133004
Karate puts children and adults in touch with their bodies and helps build coordination, agility, strength and poise. This martial art releases tension. The sport also helps foster a strong, positive self-image. The mental aspect builds confidence, control and discipline. The parent and child class is an excellent opportunity to share quality time with your child while developing muscle tone, cardiovascular fitness and karate skills. Students in advanced classes improve their techniques and learn valuable self-defense skills. Regardless of age, weight or current physical condition, karate can put you and your family on the road to fitness and physical well-being. John DiPasquale is a 6th degree black belt, four-time National Champion, former U.S. team member and U.S. National Coach, as well as a national faculty member of ASEP (American Sport Education Program).
